    Joseph was single, and an "inmate" at the "County Home" (poor house). The record says he was buried in Delhi. His mother's maiden name is stated: "Long".

    Jacob made the will dated 27 Apr. 1872 and it was executed after his decease on 27 Sep 1873.

    His wife Sarah had pre-deceased. All named children from the 1861 census were still living at this time, and the will indicates the marriage partners of some of the daughters.

    Daughter Rachel VV disposed of her parcel of land in 1876 shortly before her marriage.
