It is revealed that Thomas Hannigan was married to a Clara Pelkey of Oswego, NY, whose young aunt (she was raised with like a sister) had married a Joslyn of Auburn, NY. John F. Histories |
 | Death notice in Auburn, NY newspaper of Rose Bailey, sister of John F. Doolittle, who died in Canada, 1920.
This notice is confirmed by the Ontario Canada death record. Note that Rose was brought back to Auburn for burial in Soule Cemetery, the same place as her brother John. |
 | Immigration Record: Thomas Hannigan of Marshville, Ontario, Canada crossing into the States 5 May 1920, with intended destination his "bro-in-law" John Doolittle.
Two months earlier, this same Thomas Hannigan of Marshville, had been the informant on the death record of Auburn, NY native Rose Bailey who was a sister of John F. Doolittle of Auburn. Rose had been interred in Auburn. Thomas Hannigan had stated he had no relation to Rose Bailey, but his wife Clara Pelkey had family in Auburn NY. There IS a connection, but what? And the card is stamped "rejected". |
