Obituary of Peter VanValkenburgh 1856-1936

A clipping found in the research notes of William Perkins Bull, a Peel Co. historian researching in the 1930's. On microfilm at Mississauga Central library under "Family Files: VanValkenburgh". This individual not related to the Peel Co. VV's.

"Peter VanValkenburgh, retired miller, of 34 Cambrai Ave., East York, died in his 81st year.  He had not worked for many years, retiring after he came to this city from Otterville, wehre he had been proprietor of his own milling business there, and also working for a time for other interests.  A widower, he is survived by one son, Harry, Detroit, and a daughter, Mrs. George Forman, with whom he lived."


Death record:  Peter Van Valkenbergh, b. 9 Mar 1856 Houghton Twp., Norfolk Co., Ontario, d. 8 Jun 1936 at 34 Cambrai Ave., East York, Ontario, widower of Sarah VV, buried Otterville, informant: son in law George Forman of same address.
