Mr Paul E Van Valkenburg Dear Sir Since I received

Your letter I have been to see my  Aunt my fathers

Sister. Found her not very well and her mind was

not verry clear about her forefathers I did not care to

to question her much until she was feeling better

She says that her fathers people came from hoolland

to America but she does not remember what year

they came they were ue loyalists. Some of them went

to Kingston and some to Brockvill. Afterward some

of them came to the township of Brighton. She says her

great grandfathers name was Paul and her grandfather

name was Jacob. He taught school. Her father had three

brothers that she remembers one of them was David one Paul

and Rias. Rias was Seperated from the family and

they lost track of him there was one Daughter Margaret

by name. When I was speaking to her she did not rem

ember any thing of  T------- . but I heard my father

speak of people of that name. When my Aunt is better

and has time to do some thinking she will be able to

give me more information about her forefathers

I have a cousin George S Van Volkenburg he lives

near where grandfather is buried he was living

with George when he died When I see him

He may be able to give me some facts about our

ansesters. his father was a man with a great

memory and knew more about his people than

any of the others. So George may know more about

his forefathers than I do. however I will gather what

information I can and when I learn anything worth

reporting I will write and let you know

            yours Sincerely
