VanVolkenburgh, Lambert

Male Bef 1765 -

Grandfather of Gordon and Charles VV identified as Patriot veteran of the 1777 Battles of Saratoga.

One hundred years after the defining battle of the American Revolution, a historical parade and speech marked the occasion in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Co., NY. Several families who descended from veterans of the battles, were mentioned specifically.

Lambert VanVolkenburgh is identified as the grandfather of Gordon and Charles VV in 1876. Lambert's musket was said to be in the posession of Gordon. Interestingly, Gordon was the source of specific information on censuses, stating his father was born in Canada. It is inferred that Gordon had an interest in family- and military- history.
