The VV-Vollick-in-Canada site was begun in
November 2011 and we felt the various branches to be complete
enough to take counts by March 2012. Very soon into the
project, we thankfully received an abundance of contributions and
corrections from other VV descendant researchers.
The second year of the project, 2013, with
interest particularly from those Canadian VV ancestors whose lines
returned to the States, we developed further generations.
Searches into early land petitions and land records, resulted in
new discoveries that enabled us to merge some stray branches into
the known VV lines.

After the first year of research, in February
2013 we were able, with documentation, to merge the following
branches. To avoid duplicate names in searches, we have
deleted two trees and the individuals have been re-numbered in
their new places. For further description of the original

In 2013, with valuable input from contributing
VV descendants, we were alerted to other VV families living in
proximity but so far unconnected by documentation - these may have
been Quebec-based VV's originally, who appear in Ontario to marry,
then move on to the States. We found more branches by
performing a search in American census records and filtering for
those who claimed to have been born in Canada.:
