The search for
Canadian Vanvalkenburgh ancestors can be challenging due to the scarcity of early records. Additionally, the VV name is often mis-transcribed or has been changed completely!
We are volunteers, some who are not yet able to find our VV ancestors' pre-Revolution origins in the States, and some whose branches left Canada and who wish to discover their Canadian history. We have already received many questions and tips through personal correspondence, and present this site as a means of connecting.
The family trees and notes here represent our best (
amateur) efforts gleaned from the online NAVVF Trees and investigative notes that we have gathered. We make no assumptions, but rather present our data based on facts and documentation. We endeavor, with your help, to improve the accuracy and fill-in the gaps of our history together.

WHERE TO START?
If your ancestors or specific branches are unknown, try the name search tool at top right. Or browse the
All NAMES in All TREES link. The
icons supply brief summaries of various branches, and lead to discussions pertaining to each branch. To make a general introduction or to inquire about a 'mystery person', register and simply open a new thread and start the conversation in our
Message Boards.
We're looking forward to "meeting" everyone!
