| Documents |  | Biography of William Merrill (1817-1894) William Merrill and Hiram VanValkenburg lived near each other near the Norwich Gore along the Oxford Co./Brant Co. border. Hiram was a master carpenter who provided fine-finishing work on Merrill's projects such as church pews and windows. Hiram's son Hiram Hopkins VV married Merrill's daughter and entered into formal partnership with Merrill in later years. |
| Histories |  | 7 March 2011 - Norwich Gore Methodist Church (built 1861) moves to new location! The intermarried Merrill and VanValkenburgh families living east of Norwich village, contributed funds, supplies and labour to the building of this historical church. It has recently been moved into town! |
