Eliza C. VanValkenburg (1844-1924)

Mary V. Quilling (1866-1960)

Both buried in Plot 58. Mary VanValkenburg-Grote-Quilling, daughter of Eliza Fenema-VanValkenburg. Mary was the second-wife to two prominent men (both were bankers, one was the mayor of Elgin, IL) but these men are buried with their first wives and children. It may have been Mary's choice to be laid to rest with her mother with a similar, simple memorial. The FindaGrave listing gives detailed dates of death that are not on Mary's stone.
